Growing like a weed!

This past week Ryker seems to have just gotten so old!! He has starting talking non-stop even when we are in the car I'll hear him in his car seat "baa baa daa daa" lol it's pretty dang adorable. Yesterday he started smiling this weird sqinty smile which is super creepy...yet still cute haha.
He has also figured out how to use his hands a lot better and is holding his own bottle! He loves to play with his tongue and drools....all. the. time.

We've been having tons of fun and we cant wait until this weekend because it's going to be the BEST!!

Hello All! Hoping life is great for everyone! I've been working away loving everyday :D
I failed to mention that on March 6th Ryker had a doctor appointment where he got 3 shots and the doctor told me he had an ear infection!...not so fun, so we started him on meds asap and i'm still crossing my fingers that the infection is gone. He has his check back to see how hes doing on the 27th.
Saturday March 17th, Ryker and I went to the walk-in clinic because we both got thrush :( no fun for either of us, but the doctor gave us some meds and it seems to be getting better. Ryker doesnt have anymore white spots in his mouth and I'm able to feed him with out wanting to scream.
Later that day my mom came over and we watched "Letters to Juliet" and just relaxed until it was time for us to leave. My ward was having a "Sisters in White" night where all the women went together to the temple! Some women went and did endowments while the others did baptisms for the dead. My mom and I went down to the font and did baptisms. It was really nice, I hadnt been to the temple in probably 8 years so I really enjoyed it.
Sunday I went to church for the first hour and then I had to go to work to cover for one of the girls.
Monday I went to Tacoma and got a ticket lowered by bringing proof of insurance, that felt real good to knock $400 off !! Then I went to Federal Way and met up with my mother in law. She took Ryker over night!
It was our first time not being together over night and I think we both did pretty good. My sister (who I live with) and her family were out of town so I had the whole place to myself!! I took a bubble bath and watched TONS of "Netflix" and I finally watched the last Harry Potter movie! Went to sleep around midnight and didnt wake up until around 10. That was pretty awesome!
Tuesday I just relaxed and took a shower, got a massage before work and picked Ryker up in Auburn around 9:15 and we went home. I could tell he missed me ;)
This Saturday I have my first Mary Kay party :) WISH ME LUCK!

FUN!

This weekend was a lot of fun!! Friday after work I went over to my aunt Shirley's house her and her kids live in Idaho and her husband lives in enumclaw until the school year is over so when they come into town we always try to visit especially when Kendall comes with them, she usually only comes once in a while sense she has a job but, they all came up for Penny's birthday party! (Shirley's granddaughter) but Friday we just hung out and talked then Kendall came and stayed the night with us, we had a sleep over :) then saturday was Penny's party. Kendall, Ryker and I went early to help set up. Kendall the birthday girls hair, and we basically just stayed at Chanel's house from 12:30 pm until about 6:30 pm. I enjoyed spending time with everyone. Tasha, my cousin who had a baby a month before me was there along with her boyfriend Michael and sister Anita. They invited kendall and i to go to dinner with them at hooters in Tacoma. We had never been so we decided why not?! We had a good time. I love being around my family!! They're all so awesome! This morning I was lazy I stayed in bed with ryker until about 10 we ate breakfast and played with aurora a little then ryker took a nap and I took a shower. When I was thinking about when to head over to my moms (cause I go every Sunday) I got a text saying we were all going over to Shirley's for lunch so off we went :) we had some good food and played "draw something" all of us had downloaded the game onto our phones or iPod and we player basically all night !! Haha it was fun! I love being around Kendall I wish she would move back to Washington! They are driving back to Idaho in the morning...drive safe!! I hope everyone had a great weekend too :-D

Pretty good weekend

I love when my weekends have a mixture of being lazy and doing stuff :) I work until 6 on Fridays so when I lock the doors my weekend starts and doesn't get over till 3pm Tuesday! Friday night after work Ryker and I just hung out at home.
Saturday we went to a Mary Kay party with my sister she's getting pretty good at doing her facials. After that we sat around at home and did some laundry. Ryker got his first bath with out his whale! he did really good and seemed to enjoy it.

Then my sister in law Becca came over with my niece Lyla. Her and Aurora had a blast playing together and chatting with Ryker. When my brother got off work he and Becca watched all 3 of the kids while Tia Cedar and I went to a movie. We saw the new Jennifer Aniston flick at a movie theater in Lakewood...with reclining chairs! It was amazing.

Sunday we went to church and it snowed yet again :( but it didn't stick so that's yay! :) after church I went to Holly's parents house for Alexander's 6th Birthday Party! Every time it's one of the boy's birthday I go over for family dinner when they have a little party. I love it, it makes me feel so close to my bestie and her amazing kids and family.

Today Tia and I hung out till about 1 then left to go to my WIC appointment in Auburn. Where Ryker weighed 13 lbs! Then we went to the mall we basically just wanted to walk around and have Aurora play at the toy place I enjoyed it the mall was so empty it felt like we had the whole place to our selves !!

When we got back home I fed Ryker and changed him and he had just slept in the car but he was still fussy so I decided to let him try a little bit of rice cereal and he seemed to really like it! He's 4 1/2 months old and usually they say to wait till about 6 months but he's been acting really interested in food lately and seems hungry all the time so I thought why not!?

Well that was about it I go back to work tomorrow and I'm excited to get back to the grind :)

Besties

Today I went and visited my best friend in the whole world, Holly. She is basically the best friend anyone could ask for. I love her and her amazing family :) today Alex showed me how he can spell his name, Gray gave me lots of hugs and kisses (mostly cause I had food he wanted lol) I got to snuggle with Colton while he was waking up from a nap, Leena showed me her awesome scooting skills all while Holly and I caught up. The thing I love the most about this friendship is that we can always be ourselves and that no matter what is going on in our lives we always know we have each other. It's amazing that we've been friends for 10 years! It's awesome that we can go weeks even months without seeing each other but we still pick right back up where we left off :) I don't know what I'd do with out my bestie <3

sometimes I can&apos;t help it...

I try to be a positive person, but once in a while I feel as if the whole world is just working against me. Even now as I'm writing this I'm telling myself that I deserve some of the things that happen. Like today when I got a ticket for talking on my cell phone and not having insurance, ya I deserve that but I've just been going through a lot and it just sucks that this is one more thing!
I hate feeling like this and I know I'll feel better in a couple of days and I can be positive in my brain again, honestly I'm getting pretty good at just making the best out of a crappy situation.
I guess I just want to complain ...
Sometimes life just sucks!! I want it to get better! Soon!

A letter to my Daddy

Dear Poopy,
I can't believe it's been a whole year sense you've been gone. I miss you everyday sometimes so much that it hurts. Everything reminds me of you, and I love that. You are the best dad a girl could ask for and I can't wait to see you again someday. This past year was very hard not having you around, when Kenny and I got married I wished you were there, when Ryker was born I wished I could see your ever so happy "I'm a grandpa again" face. but even though your body wasn't here to stand by my side, your spirit was I felt you in my heart on my good days and my bad days. Sense you left so suddenly I never got to tell you how much I look up to you. You taught me so much. You taught me how to be the strong, confident woman that I am today and I know you'd be proud of me. I have the whole rest of my life a head of me, and I know I'll miss you everyday for all time. Just know that every time I go to Red Robin, you'll be there. When I listen to the Eagles or Josh Groban or Alabama you'll be next to me in the car either singing along or playing the drums on the steering wheel. Every drive I take on a beautiful sunny day, going to "the moon" will be in memory of you my dad. But today on this 1 year anniversary of your death join me in singing as loud as we can to annoy Kyle, "THERE'S A HOLE IN THE WORLD TONIGHT"

Guess what I did...

I signed up for Mary Kay today! I'm actually kind of excited about it. My sister Tia signed up about a month ago and I've gone to a couple of meetings with her and met all the people she'll be working around and I had a lot of fun hanging out with them, but with everything going on in my life I couldn't see myself spending money that I don't have to sign up for a starter kit. So every time I'd talk to her director I'd say no I can't sign up I literally have no dollars. I've been thinking about selling Mary Kay for years but for some reason I just couldn't get it out of my head this time around, I'd think about what a great opportunity it'd be to make some more money for Ryker and I and also how amazing the girls that I'd be working around are (in just the 2 meetings I went to I felt a strong connection to everyone) honestly I need some positive stuff going on in my life.
However I wasn't lying to Sue or anyone else when I said I didn't have the money and I didn't feel comfortable asking my sister cause I already owe her so much, but she told me she wanted to invest in my future so I didn't feed my fear any longer and I let down my high wall of pride and joined with my sisters help :)
I can't even explain how lucky I am to have the family I've been blessed with they have helped me out so much through out my whole life but most recently with being with out Kenny and having Ryker I'm just so happy to have them !!
I am very excited to be signed up with MK i see it as an opportunity to get together with my friends and have some fun facial parties! Oh and when I signed up today I got a pretty new ring (picture is below) so if anyone ever needs any product let me know!! ;)

January has gone by so FAST

I can not belive that today is January 30th!! It's crazy how fast time goes by. This month I started working again at Solei and LOVING it! We also had a crazy storm here in Washington which really it wasnt THAT much snow but all the snow froze and made all the trees fall which made us have no power. It started snowing Saturday Jan. 14, then the next day I was going to a Mary Kay brunch with my sister (she just recently signed up to sell) and on the way there I slid into a ditch...my car went in sideways which would have been fine to drive but when my step dad Lorenzo pulled it out of the ditch sense it was so slippery it went right into another ditch and the basically the back tire turned the way it shouldnt. So for now I'm with out a car but hopefully I can figure out a way to fix it. So with all the snow we had my work didnt need me to come in all week! Which was fine because of all the trees falling down it was scary to even step out side. Not to mention our power went out Thursday early morning and didnt come back on until about 9pm Saturday night...NO FUN.

When the roads were cleared and the power was on our days went back to normal. Normal for me right now is work. I work Tuesday - Thursday 3pm - 9pm and on Friday from 9am - 6pm. I am SO very grateful for the people who help me with Ryker! His Grandma Lucas watches him Tuesday and Wednesday Grandma Smith watches him Thursday and Friday. Aunt Tia watches him as well when either of the grandma's cant. and last week when my mom, Kenny's mom and Tia all had to work my awesome cousin Jolene watched him. I'm very grateful for the people I have in my life that help me so that I can work and not have to worry about my baby.  

My mom had her 48th Birthday on January 28th!! My aunt Shirley came into town from Idaho and we put together a quick surprise party for her at the Buckley church where we played Volleyball!! It was a lot of fun.

Well that's about it...I hope everyone had a great January!!

Finally starting

I've had this blog set up for almost 2 years and I've never posted anything. Until today, I decided I just need to write keep track of my days so I can have better memories of today than I do of when I was younger. About a month ago I was thinking about my jr. high and high school years and really I can't remember much except for the big things like my first boyfriend, first kiss and things like that but the part that depresses me and this is why I decided to blog a journal is because I can barely remember the year let alone the month of all my big events in life. So now you know why :)
Starting with what I can remember of 2011 in January my dad had been in the hospital off and on for about 2 months dealing with his bronchitis (I believe is what it was) then realizing that his heart wasn't doing very well (he had had 2 strokes and a heart attack I think in 2008 ??) it was a hard time for me my daddy is my best friend and I hated seeing him in that fragile state, I was by his side and did everything he needed. In late January '11 Kenny and I got engaged !! I was very excited and we started doing most of the early planning in the hospital we even set a date for my dad to get his tux fitted. Sadly however on February 11th my daddy past away. Even now writing that makes me cry. I was so heart broken but at the same time I tried to stay strong (just because that's how I am) I can still remember that night getting a call from my brother to come right away because dad had stopped breathing. He had a heart monitor type thing put in not that long before to help his heart to beat stronger which basically kept him alive for a couple hours...I could have gone in and said goodbye but I couldn't bare to see him like that. I didn't want to remember him lifeless. My dad was full of life and I think about all the amazing memories I have of him everyday.

So we has his funeral and drove to Idaho to lay him to rest. That very same day my dad died Kenny and I found out I was pregnant. We were very excited (And yet sad).

Kenny and I got married March 5th !! It was a beautiful day.

Kenny got a job selling RV's a couple days after we got married and I started decided not to work for a while. My sister Tia and I started training for a try-a-tri that would be held the last weekend of July. We spent a lot of time training and I was feelin pretty good, we even did a 5k June 11th 2011, 5 months pregnant. Also in June for my birthday Kenny surprised me and took me to Ocean Shores !! We had a blast riding on mopeds on the beach :) I got a job as a receptionist at Solei Day Spa in Lakeland hills and was set to start on July 3rd, 2 days before that I was sitting out in the sun (that barely ever shows itself in washington) and I got a sun burn....a BAD one I ended up blistering my feet and I wasnt able to walk for almost 2 weeks. So sadly I wasn't able to do the try-a-tri with my sister :( but my feet have healed just fine and I have no scars :) so I spent the next 2 months keeping myself busy with work and took maternity leave at the beginning of October. By this time Kenny started working at a car dealership in Fife and was enjoying his work. The day FINALLY came when my baby boy Ryker was born!! October 16th 2011 at 3:20am. I went into labor around midnight Oct. 15 and just hung out in labor at home till almost 6 am when I couldn't take it anymore and we decided to go to the hospital my amazing mom, sister and best friend Holly were there with me every step of the way (Kenny was there too of corse) I am so grateful to my labor crew for being there through all the pain and craziness that went on during that 24 hour period. Ryker Kent Lucas was 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 1/2 in. I love him more and more every day.

Well that is all the high lights of 2011. Next time I will be in the here and now! :-D Krystal
